KIM CASTLEMAIN @KIMBERLEY.POETRY
It was a seamless process in every way. One of the highlights of 2019 for me was self-publishing my poetry book. I was so lucky to be connected with designer Nikiya Christie of Grey Ritual Studio for the branding and cover design of Poise & Arrows!

GRAEME KNOX @TUNEBLANKET
Since I was starting from scratch, I had a lot of ideas in my head but hadn’t really locked into any specific direction. I found myself frequently in a state of analysis paralysis. I’ve worked with freelancers in the past where we start a project & I don’t hear back for a week & i’m not really sure what’s happening. I liked that there was a clear project outline and clear path from the start.

MEGAN MENSINK @_FOLK_LOR
The money I spent with Grey Ritual has been the best money I have spent on my company, period, end of sentence. Partnering with Grey Ritual was an investment in the future of my company. I couldn’t have imagined at the beginning of the project that working with Nikiya would impact my brand so positively. It has given me a clearer purpose of what I am doing and what I want to be doing with my company.

KAELI BAUMAN @DRINKFLIGHTFUD

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don't know what I want?
That's ok! It's very easy to feel overwhelmed and confused about where to start. That's what I'm here for, I help you gain clarity and focus in your business, I have a few exercises and methods to help you with this. :)
How will you know what is suitable for my business?
Before we start, I will discuss in depth your business goals and plans. A lot of clients come to me with conflicting ideas about what they want or the direction they’re headed, and that's why it’s important to gain clarity right at the beginning. I ask you to fill out a branding questionnaire and then I offer you a free 20-minute in-depth consultation before any project commitment is made. You can book at the "pick a date & time" link above!
What if I don't like the direction the branding is going in?
My goal is to build a brand you love, so I never finalize a project before the client is happy with the result. I'll ask you to “pin” 15-20 images on Pinterest, which helps me to create a mood board (or two) using some of your chosen pins. However, I do charge for the design of one logo, this is not an endless process. You get up to three revisions on that logo. If you are still unhappy with the logo after three revisions (although I can say this have never happened) then we can take another look at the direction to ensure we're on the same page.
What is a logo variation & why do I need this?
If you have a tagline for your business, you’ll want a logo that includes that tagline, and one that doesn’t. Different shapes and sizes of the same logo are often needed across the various online platforms. A centred logo looks best with social profiles like Instagram, but you will want a rectangular logo next to the navigation bar on your website. A brand needs to extend over multiple platform, so variations are needed
What's a brand board/guide? How do I use it?
A brand board will keep you focused on your brand elements when you create Instagram posts, ads, marketing materials and even letterheads for your business. It's also the perfect tool for freelancers who may be helping you with your website, or specialists, employees and even investors who are involved with your business.
Do I have to stick to the same colour palette?
It’s best to stick to 3-6 colours for your brand for the sake of consistency. Think of Tiffany’s, for example. What colour comes to mind? The exact colour name is Pantone "1837 Blue,” but because it is so recognizable, it has become known as Tiffany Blue. A specific colour palette helps customers instantly recognize your brand.
How does payment work?
I always ask for a 50% deposit and a signed contract to hold your spot in my schedule. Once revisions have been perfected, you will be invoiced for the remaining costs of the project. Once the final deposit is paid, I package up all design files and send them to you via Dropbox.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes I do. I can discuss a personalized payment plan as well as a custom quote in our consultation call.
